With a whole day off ahead of me, I packed my time full of errands. I still had to ferret sit, so I cushioned that in the middle so the little guy wouldn’t be waiting too long between visits. I’ve been planning, and planning, and planning to get my passport. I finally decided today was the day. I was going to Walgreens to get the picture taken and going straight over to the post office to file the paperwork. Well, of course the timing of all this hit around lunch time. Yay! But I had knitting with me, so all was well. Until I got to the front of the line. The attendant called me up, I stated my reasons for being there, and I received the reply, “Oh, I don’t do passports.” Great. I’m so glad you get paid to work at the post office and you don’t do one of the services offered. So back to the front of the line I went because now I’m pissed. Knit, knit, knit. It’s amazing how fast my knitting gets when I get frustrated. Even the woman behind me in line commented on how fast I was going. Any faster, and smoke would’ve come off the needles. (Which would have been bad since I was using the Harmony dpns and that might have sparked and caught my wool on fire). Finally got the whole passport thing situated (I didn’t know they take you birth certificate!!).
Next stop: Target. I had some things I needed to pick up so I swung by. I also picked up the new Sims 2: Apartment Life. Yay for games! I also got the Ikea stuff pack. AWESOME! I love new stuff and new clothes. Apartment Life rocks. You can be a witch now, who doesn’t love that? It’s tons of fun. Everyone should become a Sims convert. Did I mention that Sims 3 is scheduled for release in 2009? Oh yeah, I’ve already added it to my wishlist, waiting to pre-order.
Next up was ferret-feeding, ferret-playing time. So I swung on by and spent a little more time with the little fella since I was so exhausted the day before. He’s kind of crazy. It was getting warmer though so he seemed to get tired faster.
After that, it was time to grab some groceries and head on home. Later that night I did some knitting after dinner, and played with Ethan. Yay Ethan!
