I did it! I ran 7.67 miles on Saturday! I ran the longest time and distance ever in my life—and survived! I am pretty proud of myself. I have to say that I’m pretty excited about starting my new training program so I can push my distance running even more. Of course, this is after I run the race and take a little bit of a break.
This week has some pretty short runs building up to the race. My shins and calves are still pretty tight so I need to make sure to stretch them out as much as possible before the big day.
So if you have nothing else to do Saturday morning, come down to Columbus and Jackson to watch the Susan G. Komen race, cheer on the racers and support such a worthy cause.
Schedule for Week 7:
Monday – Run 20 minutes
Tuesday – Run 2 miles
Wednesday – Off
Thursday – Light 20 minute jog
Friday – Off
Saturday – Race Day
Sunday – Off
