I’ve been forgetting to update on the recent films I’ve watched (probably because none have been on the AFI 100 list). But I have taken in a few movies: We Are Marshall, Bringing Up Baby, The Flight of Dragons, and Wild Hogs.
I really enjoyed We Are Marshall even though it’s a football movie. Actually I’ve found that I like football movies, just not football. Maybe it’s because I am able to relate to the players knowing their back story which doesn’t happen during a game.
Bringing Up Baby is a classic Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn movie. Kate just acts like a crazy person but it’s so quirky and adorable at the same time. Cary Grant tries to escape her but he just can’t. Haha!
The Flight of Dragons is this awfully done cartoon movie from the 80s that I just can’t get enough of. I grew up watching it and now have come to adore the poor movie. It stares the voices of John Ritter, Harry Morgan from M*A*S*H and James Earl Jones. Obviously there are dragons and it’s a great geeky movie for anyone obsessed with the 80s.
Wild Hogs I was some what disappointed with. I had heard someone say it wasn’t too bad but I just didn’t really laugh. Mind you I was knitting at the time and not paying close attention, but still. Something should have been funny. It was a good concept though but not sure I’ll be recommending it.
That’s all the movies we have for today. Much more to come.
