So since my Internet connection was down for five days, it was quite difficult to upload pictures and post anything. Quite a handicap. So here’s a summary of some recent yarn purchases, etc. for your amusings.
Here’s Lamb’s Pride I got for the Mrs. Darcy Cardigan on the agenda to make. I thought the purple would be different; more muted but the longer I look at it, the more I like it. I think it’ll work very well. Plus I don’t have a cardigan in this color and I have tons to match it. We’re golden.
In my fleece, fiber and yarn, oh my! post I talked about the various purchases I had made at the Fleece to Fiber festival. Well, ta da! Here’s the two skeins of wool in a sherbet kind of colorway and heather gray baby alpaca I’m planning on making socks with. I am thinking a scarf and gloves with the wool, but I’m not sure what yet. Obviously a colder outside type of project and nothing that needs immediate attention. (Good too as I have too much on the needles and not enough time for anything.)
Lastly the fiber I ascertained at the aforementioned festival that I plan to spin. I love the fiesta sort of color combination that’s going on here. I located some drop spindle instructions and hope to try my hand at the task this weekend. I’ll need a block of time to fully concentrate at what I’m doing. Not sure exactly what this will become (as it isn’t even yarn yet), but hopefully something beautiful.
Well that’s it for now. Hope you enjoyed the yarn stash and all its marvels.
