My kitchen counter setup has really been bothering me. I wasn’t sure what it was but I knew something just wasn’t right. It was really frustrating me too because things felt awkward when I’d work in there.
Tired of battling the space issue (see above), I finally brought over my toaster oven from my mom’s place. I had been battling whether or not I really wanted the big enormous thing lying around and taking up my valuable counter space.
However, once I put it on the counter, a beam of light shone on the whole glistening (except for a few crumbs, I swear!) situation (see below).
It really does complete the kitchen doesn’t? My cat hair plate is housing a variety of odds and ends that conveniently fits on top of the toaster oven. I just have to remember to take it down before using it or else I’ll have baked whole onion and garlic.
oh and the tea kettle color is the basis of my kitchen decoration. I just have to do better about getting the right color.
I really lucked out with the whole apartment. Although it probably isn't as old as your building. This is only seven years, I think. Well remodeled since then. The building is actually a lot older. That's why the floors creak so much.
You have great appliances, mine are all from the mid-80's I think. I love the teapot too!
