I’ve never been so glad to go home. It’s been a long week so I wanted to get home to my cat and my apartment. But, as always, travels are never easy. My flight left Vegas at 9:45 a.m. So I had to get there by 7:30 to get through the sometimes long security lines at the Vegas airport.
My coworker and I headed to the airport together. Her flight was just an hour later than mine. Since room service failed this morning, we tried a tex mex restaurant in the airport. It actually wasn’t bad. I had a egg, bacon and tomato sandwich on a croissant. It was really good!
My flight go in around 3:30 and my mom was kind enough to pick me up. Wow the weather was a lot colder in Chicago then in Vegas. By the time we got back to the ‘burbs, it was time for dinner. Does it sound like I did a lot of eating this week? A friend of ours met us at Alfie’s in Lombard. I had chicken fingers because I wanted some comfort food.
After that, it was back to mom’s to get my cat and make the one-hour drive into the city. It’s like the day never ends. Getting my two suitcases and cat up to the apartment was pretty quick and I even got some laundry done today. Pretty impressive for one day.
