Searching For Me, Searching For You (Version 2)
I searched for myself, thus I search for you,
still looking, although, I tire so quickly
to find my wounded parts hidden into
dark, secret entrapping holding tightly.
And I learned about myself with your aid
which battered—torn, I, sank quite deeper still
discovered it was you I yearned unswayed,
although, a struggle and a test of will.
You I yearned for and you I needed more,
to fill and find my final missing piece.
The piece found; a clue of what to search for,
because of you, a guided sense of peace.
And I’m glad I searched for myself which led
to searching for you, finding you instead.
