I haven’t really blogged this but I have been in search of boots for over a year. And I’m talking a search. High and low in every department store, boutique, shopping center and side-of-the-road stand. Ever since my trip to Toronto last October, I have been trying to find pointy, stiletto boots that were comfortable, not adorned full of crap and fairly cheap—let’s be realistic, this kind of purchase is a temporarily fix; the trend just won’t last so why spend a lot to indulge my fashionista need.
I had almost given up my dream of sporting some chic boots that I could wear with long pants, capris and skirts … when low and behold at my local TJ Maxx (god bless this store!) there’s a pair for $35. Count them: $35. Now that’s a price my lowly editor salary can afford, even when I’m on a budget. So of course, I grab them up like a hungry child in a candy store and rush to the register before something happens to the store.
I’m so excited about my purchase too because it’ll be fall soon—a perfect time to wear them. Right now it’s just too hot. My feet like to be free, so I tend to wear flippity floppity shoes in the summer months. But here’s to a great pair of stiletto black boots!
