I made some turkey soup today using a recipe I found on Epicurious. I made a few adaptations.
First I used fresh dried rosemary, fresh dried sage and bay leaves instead of thyme. I used the carcass from the Thanksgiving dinner and some drippings I saved from it.
In the mean time, I chopped up onions, carrots and celery, as well as potatoes and green onions. Doesn’t it look all cute in little bowls?
After three hours, it was finally time to strain the broth and saute the veggies in the saucepan. Smell the aroma!
Now you add back the broth, the egg noodles and the turkey to combine everything into a wonderful blend.
After another 10 minutes, enjoy yourself a bowl; season to taste.
Oh and this is what cookies look like when you add too much sugar to the recipe. Apparently I can’t read a recipe.
And here’s what cookies look like when you try to compensate for your mistake by adding some flour.
