One more AFI 100 movie down, so many more to go. I finally finished Lawrence of Arabia (1962) starring Peter O’Toole after nearly four hours of grouling watching. Actually, I didn’t even watch it straight through. I needed a break. And quite honestly, I didn’t get it at the end. It was very well done and I liked certain parts. I liked it better than Citizen Kane (oh bane of my high school film class existence). And yes I know how wrong that sounds for anyone trying to accomplish the AFI 100 or who likes movies so much, but that’s how I feel. Rosebud. Pfbbt!
Anywho, much progress on No Sheep For You‘s No Sweat Socks … aka all done! Here’s a snapshot for ya on my footsies. I also cast on for Thirassia found at Tejemanejes—a new Spanish online mag. Very cool. I had to translate some of it but fortunately there’s a chart to follow. The rest of the pattern is easy if you have another pattern to base the heel and gussets off of. I also came across this knitting term translator that was very useful considering the Babel Fish translation said that purling was “working the point of misfortune.” Riiight! I hope to finish Thirassia this week since I’ll be traveling on a plane. Woo!
Yes, that's a good movie but I agree it'd very difficult to watch. Epecially since the attack on the Be'er Sheva train line isn't filmed anywhere near Be'er Sheva.
