Ysolda’s Tiny Shoes are just the most adorable booties ever. I was fortunate enough to have some gray sock yarn lying around so that I could knit the pattern closely to what was depicted. I even had some red star buttons, which picks up the little red specs from the yarn.
Because I obviously don’t have a baby of my own, nor know of a baby in the close vicinity of myself this evening that could model these, I chose to use this teddy bear. It has the right size foot to flesh out the bootie and give it structure.
They look quite adorable with this little outfit the teddy bear is sporting.
Then Pooh got jealous that he didn’t model the booties so he wanted to wear them too. Now I sound crazy! Actually, I wanted to get a more upright picture as well to show off the bootie as it would appear on a baby standing up.
Two projects down in one day, yay! I’m also ahead for the Stash Knit Down 2009 Challenge. Now I just have a scarf to knock out and my active WIPs will be complete. Then I want to work on some hibernating projects, as well as some additional baby outfits I have in the hopper, including another brown Owl Baby Vest as a future gift and maybe a red jumper of some sort out of a one skein yarn that I have on hand.
