This morning I helped my friend from work pack up her apartment. Who knew two hours of running up and down stairs would be so aerobic but let me tell you, I’ll help anyone move instead of my normal workout. At least there’s people to talk to. It didn’t take as long as I thought and I had plenty of time to run some errands (Target for a cousin’s birthday gift, Babies R’ Us for another project I’m making for a cousin, Hobby Lobby for general crafting needs). Then back home for phase two of the day.
I had had plans with my friend, but she came down with something nasty so it was best that she rest up. Instead I decided to do some crafting (and organize my many projects). Another friend from work (not the moving one) came over and we went to town on our knitting projects. (I worked on Kyoto and she on an afghan.) While we were working on our respective projects, we watched Cold Mountain (it was on TV when I got situated) and the Harry Potter marathon. We only got through 2 1/2 of them, but it was fun. Nothing beats reciting a movie you’ve seen a ton of and don’t have to watch to follow along.
We got a bit hungry after awhile so I whipped up some fried potatoes:
- Saute oil, garlic and onions
- Add the diced potatoes and fry up the sides
- Add water and desired spices, and boil the snot of out of the potatoes
- Add some milk and butter; boil more
- Serve with cheese
All and all, it was a busy busy day but I have exciting craft progress to report tomorrow.
You needed sleep, no biggie.
Sorry I missed a good time and potatoes! I desperately needed the sleep though.
