It’s a long-running joke at my knitting group that I take forever on some projects. This is the case with the above pieces. I have been working on this project (Kyoto sweater from Knitty.com) for more than four years. When I first started knitting, I suffered from too-big-for-my-britches syndrome and strived to do a project that was a bit beyond my skill level at the time. Not that this sweater is hard necessarily, but since the needles are size 5 and the yarn is pretty thin (Tahki Cotton Classic), so having mastered your gauge and rhythm is very important. I am fairly excited about my progress though and think I can have this ready for when the weather warms up a bit for lightweight sweaters.
Ah! very cool and very nice. I didn't know that that was the sweater you're making. I'm planning on making a modified version of it this summer.
