I am very tired. So tired, in fact, that promptly after I post this, I will be retiring to bed. Anyone who knows me, recognizes this as pretty darned amazing. I don’t like sleep. I like sleep, but I wish I didn’t need as much as I do. I need eight to nine hours a night. That cuts into so many things: crafting, movie watching, horsing around. Come on! Give me a break. I’d be happy needing six. Then I’d have ample time in the evenings to do whatever it is I want to do. Mother Nature, if you hear me, please honor my request.
Tonight was SNBWB, so I got some knitting done. Here’s what I worked on tonight; the Clapotis, which I just started yesterday. According to the girls, I’m knitting it pretty quickly. I guess so, although I think I’ll be slowing down soon. Ethan wanted to pose for the camera and insisted that he sit near the shawl.
I found out that the second baby afghan project will have to become No. 1 priority. I’ll have to work on that tomorrow night. Maybe I can get that done in a week. Here’s hoping.
As you can see, I didn’t get much done on the second Clessidra. I guess since I can’t wear knee-high stockings any time soon, the shawl is far more appealing as it is freezing in my office most of the time. I could use this thing. However, I really shouldn’t have started it considering all that is on the needles. A quick review:
- Clessidra stockings—just started second sock
- Thirassia socks—waiting for more yarn
- Baby afghan—a few rows in, not very far
- Yoga bag—a few rows in, not very far
- Scarf—two sections done
- Clapotis—probably 15% done, maybe
Something has to be finished. Or I might go crazy. Or maybe I’m already there. Who knows! The yarn fumes must have gotten to me.
Also, since I was so stricken by yesterday’s events, I wasn’t able to report my latest movie viewing: Stranger Than Fiction. Surprisingly good. With Will Ferrell, Emma Thompson, Queen Latifah and Maggie Gyllenhaal, the story was a twist on fiction and real life. I always say kind of weird movies are like “Sundance Film Festival” good. Meaning they’re off the beaten path but still recognized as pretty darn awesome. Running With Scissors and Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind fit that bill. So if you haven’t caught this flick, I would suggest. Actually both are good.
I didn't say it was great. I just said good. I was tired (ie. tired eyes) too so I couldn't think of a ton of options.
I really take issue with Running with Scissors being "good". I am all for arty/strange films (loved the Fountain) but seriously Kate- Running with scissors? Its a good thing you are so cool and wonderful that I can pretend I didn't read that 😉
