I had to take my car into the shop today. The electrical malfunction light became illuminated yesterday night. So off to the local city dealership I went to get her all checked out. She was also in major need of an oil change, and since I haven’t had a chance to get her to Midas, I figured this would be as good a time as any.
Apparently there were a few things wrong, which was why the light went off, that were covered by the warranty (thank god!). The battery also apparently had something recalled on it where they needed to reground. My exhaust pipe became dislodged and it needed to be rewelded and I had a light out in the back. Phew, lots of little but fixable things.
I got to the dealership around 5 and around 6 the customer service rep came by to update me on her and he tells me 30 more minutes. I’m like, “Sweet deal.” I’m going to town on Dad’s Earl Reds so no big deal. All of a sudden, it’s 7:30. I’ve gotten to grafting the toe (actually I even had to take some stuff out), so I had no more knitting left. Now I’m irritated. I haven’t heard one peep about my car, I’m hungry, tired and I’m having to listen to the football game. Bah!
Finally my car was ready at 8. They didn’t charge me for anything but the oil change and light bulb they had to swap out. Cool! And they washed my car. Double cool! So it was a pretty good deal. Although when I got into my car, whatever electrical work they had to do, reset my clock and preset stations. So I’ll have to fix the presets later down the line.
