I watched a few AFI movies today as I was toiling away on this major project for work. I had to work at home the workload is so huge.
I popped in High Noon to begin with. Starring Gary Cooper, the movie is basically a showdown between the law and the criminal Frank Miller who was put away by the local marshal.
Of course, there’s a love story behind the main plot. I didn’t really like the movie though. It’s a western sort of film. I know I’ve said it before, but I’m not fond of the genre. The remaining AFI movies seem to be westerns and war movies. I tried to space them out, but I have to watch these flicks.
Today, I also watched Shane. The classic “Shaaaane,” line got annoying. That kid had an awful voice. Someone really should’ve made him stop.
Another western showdown type of film, this is about a local valley bully and the farmers/ranchers that try to fight him and the loner/gunshooter that becomes involved.
It stars this obnoxious kid that keeps yelling, “Shane,” over and over again in this awful freaky voice that really is not normal.
This evening, I worked on Dad’s Earl Reds and wrote out some Christmas/Holiday cards.
Tomorrow I hope I can get home and relax but I need to take my car into the dealer. The electrical malfunction symbol lit up on my dashboard today. Just what I need. Any who, there’s always tomorrow!
