It’s Mother’s Day and I spent the day bonding with my mom. We went plant shopping yesterday (a tradition for us) and planted today. Unfortunately, it was cold, rainy and wet out so we had to do most of this in the garage. We also ate a yummy dinner.
This a picture of us at our old house when I was younger. Isn’t it cute? I’m writing an article for Ravelry‘s This Week In Ravelry and I’m totally using this image!
Since I was home, work on the Vintage Socks had to be postponed since I can’t knit them in front of my mom. So I pulled out the Ribby Cardi to work on. I got about four inches on the sleeve. I’m working it the round on DPNs and it’s going rather smoothly. I made some adjustments on where I put the increases because where the pattern indicated them, it looked weird. I snuggled them in the middle of the ribs so they were less obvious. I think it’s turning out nicely but my time to spend on it is limited with the Vintage Socks in rotation and with the impending deadline.
