This was so much fun to knit, I can’t even properly express it. For those unaware, this is Twinkle Toes from Knitty’s Winter 2006 issue. Even though I found the adult size was too large for my size 7 feet and had to start over and make the child size, this was such an incredibly easy and quick knit. I also am proud to say that I’ve now officially worked a short-row toe and short-row heel. Oh yeah! I know you’re jealous. OK, maybe not really.
The other cool part of the pattern is that the straps are basically cast on in a long row and immediately bound off, thus no I-cord and no sewing of seams. Double yay!
I’m not sure if you can see in this picture how roomy and big the adult size was on my foot. It felt huge though and if you can’t see it, you’ll have to take my word for it.
And for posterity, check out my short-row toe!
