Here is my version of the Dream Swatch Head Wrap. I call it the “Dream Swatch Headband.” I know, original name. I made some modifications. I followed the directions, cast on and knit the 12 rows of the pattern. Once I reached a length that snugly fit around my head and I finished a set of four stockinette rows, I connected the two ends with a three-needle bind off (WS) to create a headband. This is partly because one of the two skeins of yarn I was knitting together was running out and also because the merino wool yarn I was using had a stiffer quality to it then what I’m sure the bamboo yarn the pattern called for. I wasn’t sure how hanging wrap ends would work with this yarn, not being as light and airy. As you can see I’m totally digging the long and yarn. I’ll be wearing this with my hair up (it’s too thick of a “sash” to have my hair hanging down).
Here’s a close up of the stitch. (The discoloration is because I shot the pic without a flash). Delicious!
