The Chevron Scarf finished blocking last night so here it is as a head scarf (it’s too short to be worn as a regular scarf). Here’s a close up shot.
I really liked how this turned out. It’s a little shorter than I expected (even after blocking) but a nice length to tie around my head and not have a bunch of leftover dangling in the back. I also like how it pairs with my new glasses. I’ll have to try it when my hair is down and curly too, to see how that looks.
In other news, I’ve been experiencing tooth pain since I got a crown on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This is not my first crown (oh no, it’s actually my fourth) so I had a general idea of what to expect. But due to the HUGE filling we were replacing, and how close it was to the nerve in the first place, my dentist thinks that I’ll experience sensitivity. Plus I was biting on a high spot, thus bruising the ligaments in my mouth and giving me increasing pain throughout the week and weekend. I was able to get into the dentist today and she made some adjustments. Hopefully, my tooth does not get problematic and lead to a root canal (which would be the next step).
And have I mentioned my new dentist yet? Ah yes, I did. Well my impressions are still very positive despite my anxiety over the current tooth situation. I also learned that by recommending a coworker to the location, I’ll be receiving a gift certificate toward a whitening treatment that will nearly pay for itself. How great is that? Of course, I need to take care of the immediate dental issues before worrying about that and then I want to check with my dentist that this treatment will be OK with my teeth since I have very thin enamel. I hope it works out. Who doesn’t want pearlier whites?
