On the way back from the wedding, we stopped in Madison for some much needed sustenance and good time. We saw one of the lakes, shopped along the main drag and ate at Frida—a Mexican grill that some family friends worked out during their undergraduate time at the university. It was soooooo yummy. More so then I remember from the first time. I got some hair bands at this cutesy little shop there and a sweater type wrap thing and a candle from Urban Outfitters. Every major city I travel to I make a point to stop in the Urban Outfitters because the stock is always different. I’ve been to Madison, New York, New Orleans, San Francisco and a variety of Chicago locations. I missed out on going to the Las Vegas store when I was there in January because I was so busy. Hopefully this year though I’ll make it over there.
The road trip was better coming back because it wasn’t pouring buckets. BUCKETS I tell you. It was awful and I was worried the wedding would be rained on since it was outside. But it was fine once we got to our destination. Did I mention how we literally had 20 minutes to get ready? We got to the hotel not knowing when the shuttle would leave at 3:15 and then the receptionist took her sweet time talking on the phone, running up the stairs and taking forever to get us into the room. It was pretty amazing that we got downstairs on time but we made it and didn’t have to worry about driving over to the lodge. Phew!
So true! Thanks 🙂
