I’ve been thinking about Hot Pinkness—I know it’s tough not to. I’ve been thinking of the last few adjustments I want to make to her so she’s the ultimate in biking ecstasy.
I really want to remove the Dawes decals from her and found some suggestions regarding how to do that. Apparently, nail polish remover can do the trick. I’ll have to give it a try.
Also I want to replace the saddle. The saddle is actually not the original that came with the bike and a pretty decent saddle. But because it doesn’t match, it sort of drives me crazy. I know, that’s silly, but I like things to match. I found the Terry Womens Damselfly Saddle for around $80 on Amazon.
It would be SWEEEEET looking on Hot Pinkness. It’s obviously something to get down the road, maybe with a gift card or something.
Then the only other thing I may need to address is the drive train/shifters compatability. Right now the shifters are for a 24 gear and the drive train is for 18. Obviously this becomes concerning when it comes to shifting (I can’t shift all the way up). I’m hoping some of my more bike-savvy friends can assist me in this repair down the road too. I think I’ll have to get new shifters or something. The drive train is carbon fiber, thus making the bike lighter, so I don’t want to get rid of that.
Lots of decisions to make …
