It was a busy day in the crafty neighborhood. I worked on my Cheeky Ribbed Socks while watching Blood Diamond, a very good, thought-provoking movie. No wonder so much attention has been given to this crucial topic. Makes a girl think and, of course, I will be insisting that any diamond I ever receive is conflict-free.
During said thought-provoking movie, I was able to get through my first heel and I feel pretty darned impressed with myself. I hope to have this sock done by the end of the weekend.
I haven’t really gotten very far with the Eyelet Swirls scarf. I did start the second color and I think the transition looks nice. I decided to do two sets of the eyelet swirls pattern before changing color. I don’t have a more updated picture of that but here’s how the pattern is working out thus far.
I also progressed a small step on the AFI 100 ladder this weekend by watching My Fair Lady, which I enjoyed. I have been very familiar with the songs from this film for quite sometime. “I Could’ve Danced All Night,” “On The Street Where You Live” and “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly.” It was definitely a great weekend watch.
